3 months of arrest with deprivation of the right to drive all types of vehicles for 5 years for repeated driving by a person who does not have the right to drive: the Pukhovichi District Prosecutor’s Office supported the state prosecution.

The Pukhovichi District Prosecutor’s Office supported the state prosecution in court in a criminal case against a 34-year-old local resident – he is charged with driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive it, if this act is committed repeatedly.

As established, citizen K., having been brought to administrative responsibility on September 30, 2021 by the Pukhovichi District Court of the Minsk Region under Part 2 of Art. 18.14 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, repeatedly, within one year after the imposition of an administrative penalty for driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive this vehicle, again drove a vehicle – a VAZ 21013 car, without having the right to drive this vehicle. The man was stopped by traffic police officers in the agro-town of Dukora, Pukhovichi District.

During the trial, the accused admitted guilt in full and showed that he never had a license to drive a category “B” vehicle, and as a result committed a crime for which he repents.

Taking into account the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, the Pukhovichi District Court issued a guilty verdict. Based on Part 1 of Article 317-2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, the accused was sentenced to arrest for a period of 3 months with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for a period of 5 years.

The verdict has not entered into legal force, it can be appealed and contested in the appellate procedure.
